Transport
Puerto Princesa is the main gateway to Palawan and is easily accessible by air from major cities in the Philippines. Several airlines — including Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and AirAsia — operate daily direct flights from Manila (1 hour 20 minutes), Cebu (1 hour), and Clark (1 hour 30 minutes). During peak seasons, limited flights may also operate from other destinations such as Iloilo or Davao. All flights arrive at Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPS), which is conveniently located just 15–20 minutes from most hotels and Princesa Garden Island Resort, the wedding venue.
For guests staying not at but near Princesa Garden Island Resort, local transportation is readily available and easy to arrange. The most common mode of transport is the tricycle, an affordable and uniquely Filipino way to get around town — perfect for short distances. For larger groups or those who want to ride in comfort, private vans, taxi, or shuttle transfers can be pre-booked through hotels or local tour operators for a more comfortable ride to and from the venue. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are limited, so arranging transport in advance or through your accommodation is recommended, especially on the wedding day. The resort is located along Bancao-Bancao Road, just 10 minutes from the airport and central city area.
After your stay in Puerto Princesa, guests have several options for onward travel.
- Flying out of Puerto Princesa (PPS): Direct domestic flights connect to Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao, where you can continue to international or other island destinations like Boracay, Siargao, or Bohol.
- Traveling north to El Nido: For guests extending their holiday, El Nido is approximately a 5 to 6-hour scenic drive or van transfer from Puerto Princesa. Private transfers or shared vans can be arranged directly through your hotel or a tour operator.
Once in El Nido, guests can fly out of Lio Airport (ENI), which offers daily direct flights to Manila, Cebu, and Clark via AirSwift Airlines. This route is ideal for those continuing their island adventure to Boracay, Cebu, or other parts of the Philippines without needing to backtrack to Puerto Princesa.
