Sabang is about 2 hours drive north of Puerto Princesa, which makes it a great location. Puerto Princesa is the main city in Palawan, which has a range of amenities, accommodation, shopping and restaurants. Since Puerto Princesa is the home of Palawan’s largest airport, your wedding guests have more transport options both for domestic and international flights as well as van transport.
Most importantly, Sabang is beautiful. Surrounded by green limestone cliff mountains, the soft white sand beach and perfect rhythm of blue waves makes it a picturesque Palawan wedding destination. The town and beach isn’t too busy too, so that Palawan wedding feel you’re looking for is definitely in Sabang.
There are 2 resorts on Sabang beach that we recommend to our couples, as we are confident in their ability to host gorgeous wedding ceremonies and receptions. In addition, there is a local catholic church for those couples wanting a traditional ceremony in a church, however the rules around marriage in the church can be strict so it’s only recommended for couples who are local to the Philippines and willing to follow the rules set out by the local pastor. Of course your wedding ceremony can be had on the beach or on the grounds of the resort as well.
Daluyon Beach & Mountain Resort
Our first recommendation to couples for their wedding location is the Daluyon Beach & Mountain Resort on Sabang beach. The resort sits further down Sabang beach on the private end. Daluyon has excellent accommodation rooms, a pool and swim up bar, restaurant, and recently had some exciting renovations to update the facilities.
