El Nido has experienced a tremendous spike in growth after flocks of tourists have captured the area’s stunning beauty and shared their experiences on social media. What was once a backpacker spot and local fishing town has now become a developing tourism destination. We now even have an airport which takes direct flights from Manila, Cebu, and even Boracay!
When wedding clients send us an inquiry with a request for assistance with their wedding in El Nido, we always make sure to inform them of our standards for El Nido, which at times can be beyond everyone’s budget. Although there are many resorts in El Nido, and it’s certainly growing and developing, in 2019 at this time there are only a few wedding venues that we choose to work with because we know their ability to cater for our clients, often whom are inviting friends and family from overseas. To put it plainly, the infrastructure of El Nido still has a lot of catching up to do. For example, it is highly recommended to only drink bottled water and use ice that has been filtered properly. Therefore we know that when couples want to have their wedding in El Nido with family and friends they want to make sure that they enjoy the experience they came all the way to the Philippines for.

Our first and most highly recommended wedding venue and resort is El Nido Resorts. This set of 4 private islands are by far the most stunning resorts you can choose to have your wedding in El Nido. From the beaches to the views of El Nido’s gorgeous islands, to the restaurants and world class facilities, El Nido Resorts is sure to impress and make your wedding stand out. Wedding packages at El Nido Resorts include everything you need for the foundation of your wedding ceremony and reception. One thing to note however is that since these are private islands, ALL wedding guests are required to stay at least 2 nights, not only for their own comfort and enjoyment, but also due to the location. Since rooms at these gorgeous high class resorts start at 25,000 php per night, this wedding venue is only right for those who can comfortably afford it. The wedding package itself isn’t the most expensive in Palawan, it’s the room requirements that you have to be aware of, whether you will be paying for your guest’s rooms or your guest’s will be paying for their own rooms. But if you’re one of the lucky couples who are able to choose El Nido Resorts as your wedding venue, we’re 100 percent certain that you and your guests will be pleasantly stunned.
Another suggestion on the mainland of Palawan is Seda Lio resort. Seda Lio sits on a gorgeous beach for weddings in El Nido. Since Seda Lio is located on the mainland this is one advantage over El Nido Resorts because wedding guests are not required to stay at the resort if it’s beyond yours or your guest’s budget. It’s one of the best resorts on the mainland in El Nido, and can accommodate both small and large groups.
