Dos Palmas | Palawan

Jean and Kenneth will be hosting their wedding at Dos Palmas Island Resort on 12.12.2021. Dos Palmas Island Resort is located in Honda Bay outside Puerto Princesa of Palawan. Dos Palmas is a gorgeous island resort situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the Philippines. The venue is located on stunning waters tucked away in it’s own part of Honda Bay. Dos Palmas is an all-inclusive Palawan resort that maintains 24-hour security on the island and its perimeter. The resort also has a clinic, an in-house nurse available 24/7, and a doctor during peak dates and conventions. All resort staff have undergone first aid training.

For your own comfort and enjoyment of the wedding, it is recommended that wedding guests stay at least 2 night’s minimum at Dos Palmas. Being a private island means wedding guests can relax and enjoy the slow pace of island life. Transport will be from Puerto Princesa to the dock by van then by boat to the island. Therefore we recommend arriving in Puerto Princesa at the very latest on or before the 10th of December to ensure being on time to the wedding. This will allow you to rest appropriately, time for transport to Dos Palmas (on the 10th or 11th), and wake up on the island prepared to attend the wedding on the 12th with full energy.

Please RSVP here, and if you are attending the wedding please kindly inform us of your plans so we can assist with arranging your accommodation at Dos Palmas for the wedding.

Flights

If coming to the Philippines from overseas, we recommend first that you fly into Manila (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) or Cebu (Mactan Cebu International Airport). Next you will need to book a flight from Manila/Cebu to Puerto Princesa on either Cebu Pacific Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Air Asia, or Air Swift. We suggest booking an arrival to Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, no later than the 10th of December. If travelling internationally close to the wedding day, we recommend staying in a hotel for at least 1 or 2 nights near the airport in Manila/Cebu to recover from a long flight before heading onward to Palawan. Domestic flights in the Philippines can at times be delayed, so please plan accordingly.

If you decide to stay in Manila or Cebu for 1 night or more before your domestic flight we recommend booking an airport pickup and return through your hotel for peace of mind.

Local Transport

Transport from the main city of Puerto Princesa to Dos Palmas takes approximately 1.5 hours each way. In order to make this as smooth and efficient, we will ask that you either inform us of your travel plans when completing the booking form or follow up with us once those details have been confirmed.

Even if you are planning to travel elsewhere in Palawan or the Philippines prior to or after the wedding, we suggest arriving at Dos Palmas on the 11th of December - one day before the wedding.

Sample Travel Itineraries

First, please note that Jean and Ken have invited wedding guests to indicate in the RSVP form whether they would like to be included in a group trip to El Nido after the wedding. If you’d like to join the group in any capacity, please response in the RSVP form and we will include you in updates and communications about the trip.

If coming from overseas or other islands, below we’ve outlined three travel itineraries to give a rough idea of how wedding guests could plan a Philippines holiday while attending the wedding. We understand that guests attending the wedding could be coming from different places, have different timelines, preferences, as well as budgets. So if you’re not sure where to start in planning, read our suggestions below for your consideration. Please keep in mind these are merely recommendations, and of course any of these plans can be altered to suit your preferences or circumstance. Feel free to use these itineraries as a general travel plan you could adopt.
